Another new Georgia beekeeper!
«

Hello everyone, I live just south of Atlanta and have setup one hive in my backyard, installed the nuc almost 4 weeks ago. I took the Bee Keeping Short Course from the Metro Atlanta Beekeepers in Januray and plan to attend the Bee Institute at Young Harris College in a few weeks. If all goes well I plan to add more hives next year.
This forum has been so very helpful. Whenever I have a question, can either find the answer through seaching former posts or a daily review of the currrent posts.
Thanks for all the great information the past few months.

Hi Karen and welcome,
I've found this forum invaluable for information sharing and learning. Were you at the meeting tonight? (I'm the person who asked him about starter strips). I'm also going to the Institute and taking the beginner certificate course.
See you there and welcome to Beemaster,
Linda T in Atlanta

Yes, Linda I was at the meeting this past Wednesday, great program.
I really enjoyed your (and many other members) new bee keeper's presentation at the February meeting. From that presentation I went to your blog and then this forum. You have been a cyber-mentor, thank you.
Looking forward to Young Harris, I have so much to learn!
