For any one using osx 10.3 or higher the server is set up to use the speex interface and It should make it available for you to log on to the Beemaster voice chat if you wish.
I think you may have had problems connecting before but it should work now.

There is also a Linux ventriloscript available at ventrilo.com/downloads in the beta section if anyone wants to try it.I am not familiar with linux but maybe someone will jump in!
