I figure on one of my hives, I'm going to do a Starter Strip, Some comb for fair.
What would be the best way to do this with frames that have foundation in them already? Should I just cut the wax into a small 4 inch triangle shape for them to start from in the Middle?

Bare foundation? Drawn comb? Bare foundation, I'd probably remove it (unless it's waxed in), cut it in strips and put it back in. Drawn comb, I'd cut all but the top row of cells out.

I just cut the foundation down to about 1/2" and than use a hot glue gun to keep it in the top bar. Woks great! -Nathanael  |

take a sheet of foundation and cut a 1/2-1" strip off of it (lenghtwise). that's called a starter strip-

you use it, as the name tells, for bees to start comb-at the right spot of course.
you just put it where a whole sheet of foundation should be.
now, i don't wanna be rude but really a lot has been said about it so..a little search would help a great deal.

The question is here, I would guess, because using natural comb is one of those "Natural and organic beekeeping methods" and starter strips are one way to get that.
