Heres a whole bunch with Senor Manuel. Things have not changed much, since I was there a year ago.
Senor Manuel, with no beesuit of course!
Leaves to keep the hive cooler
The trusty smoker
Alot of smoke and..
Out comes a frame of brood
Yours truly...
New Hive Tool I gave him. He said he loses his all the time!
That darn starter strip!
Just in case Nuc box.
He is proud of his honey!

cool pictures. are the corrugated pieces between the hives to direct the flight of the bees, or is that just a convenient place to put extra pieces?

I noticed Senor Manuel does not wear a bee suit yet the tourista appears to be in one.
Does Senor Manuel get stung a lot? It appears to me that he knows how to handle his AHB hives.
Sincerely,
Brendhan

Kathyp,
I assume just a good place to keep them...
Understudy,
During this vist and the last one I did not see him get stung. My brother inlaw got stung again (last year too). He had to run out of there, with a few chasing him.....
