i needed a name other than my blog name, and one that i could remember. seemed like this would be a good time to use my real name....and most likely, i'll remember it i have to admit that using my real name, and seeing it pop up on the computer, is a little unsettling at first!

"Nay, it [this constitution of government] must perish, if there be not that vital spirit in the people, which alone can nourish, sustain, and direct all its movements. It is in vain, that statesmen shall form plans of government, in which the beauty and harmony of a republic shall be embodied in visible order, shall be built up on solid substructions, and adorned by every useful ornament, if the inhabitants suffer the silent power of time to dilapidate its walls, or crumble its massy supporters into dust; if the assaults from without are never resisted, and the rottenness and mining from within are never guarded against. Who can preserve the rights and liberties of the people, when they shall be abandoned by themselves? Who shall keep watch in the temple, when the watchmen sleep at their posts? Who shall call upon the people to redeem their possessions, and revive the republic, when their own hands have deliberately and corruptly surrendered them to the oppressor, and have built the prisons, or dug the graves of their own friends?

when i was little, i couldn't pronounce my name (Matic) so, when i wanted to do something or...well something i was saying like "Mici wants to"...or something, my Brother (Gregor) was Agi . so when it was time to get a nickname on internet/computer i didn't wanna be another "superman" or any other stupid nickname...went for Mici, although Mici is a female name, it's not used around here much but i know it is in austria and poland..it's really become rear around here, but present enough that come TRY (just try, never succed) making fun of my nick

I got my name because it's my real name. I haven't met anyone else with the first name Sport, but there has to be another one out there. I always explain how I got the name as "being born in the sixties."

hummingbird is on of many nicknames given to me by family and friends because it describes me. Petite, nimble (used to be a competitive gymnast), complex and I LOVE sugar! I'm always buzzing around the house doing a million projects at once, and I eat almost as much as I weight each day! haha. I spelled it with an "e" because the traditional spelling is usually taken. Hummingbirds are fascinating creatures, almost as fascinating as bees. I might change my avatar, but for now I'll keep this one. It's a mirror image of the face I give my husband when I he has the computer and I want to use it to post on bee forums! "pleeeeeease, I won't be long, I promise"

My name is MrILoveTheAnts because that's the name I use almost everywhere. Along with bee keeping I also keep colonies of ants. Sure they don't produce honey but at least they don't sting... mostly. I'm also on another forum about ants on EzBoard (which might be Yuku now or something since they got bought out).

WE have another member who loves ants, 'nepenthes'. I don't know if he's posting right now, there was just a fire in his house and I think he lost all of his pets.

I was apprehensive about this name for it could be scrutinized to describe me as a Big, Lazy, Sofa Lounging Redneck from the hills of Tennessee eating nothing but junk food and drinking poisonous beverages. Only part of that describes me; I own two love seats instead of a sofa. And my drink is either Water,Coffee,Milk or Tea. |
