Been in police work since 2000. On my last job coworkers started calling me lone wolf due to my ability to enjoy my own company sometimes as well as others. My unit number at the time was #308 so you get lonewolf308. I'm not a loner by no means I love people and my friends, but I have no problem being alone or relying on myself if I have to.

Hi everybody... I just joined, and this is my first post. I chose my name from a Latin quote about bees, "Ubi Mel, Ibi Apes," which translates to, "Where there's honey, there are bees." I installed two packages of bees on May 1st (Worker Bees of the World, Unite! Ha ha) I've spent the past 48 hours or so being pretty hard on myself, as to everything I think I'm probably doing wrong. Looking forward to sharing and learning from you all. I've got a million questions, but I don't think this is the right thread for them...I'm going to go search for that board now, and I'll probably write volumes!!! Thanks in advance for putting up with me! -Mel

I'm also an old ham radio operator. That's my name in the ham world. Whenever I sign up to a new site I never have to worry about it already being used.

Yellowgate is the name of my farm, yellowgate farm. My grandfather started it years ago, and he painted all the gates yellow (hence the name). He has since passed so I can only surmise that either he liked the color yellow or it was on sale the day he went to the store to by paint.

My parents also chose it, Peter Axel Wallin, the Sr. because there is a Jr. and a 3rd. been around a few years. From upstate NY Berkshire foot hills, have a place on VA's Eastern Shore. Had a couple of hives years ago, lost them to the winter weather one year, got busy with life but kept the equipment. Loaded it into the truck May 16 2012 and drove to VA. Unloaded hive boxes Thursday Swarm arrived Friday afternoon. Old dirty hives not ready 30 year old box of musty foundation cleaned and put together 10 frames, put in box, put Bees in box, moved box to Back yard. Doing fine, but next time, I would like a little more lead time. Peter

Years ago I was a part of a group of friends with 2 Bens in it. At 6'7" I was naturally "Tall-Ben." tben was a simple transition when I got my first email address in the 90's.

Heus is my name on my maple syrup websites: mapletrader, sugarbush.info, and mapplechatter.com. It means absolutely nothing.

Well, long before I became a beekeeper, my husband called me "The Queen Bee".. Queen Bee was my user name when I joined yrs ago.. It wasn't available so, I added NC (North Carolina) in front of it...It worked!

Mine happens to be the name of our company. It took us some serious thought to come up with something unique that describes our honey. Since we live in the Ozarks and have hives here, we thought, why not "Ozarks Honey" so then Ozarks Honey Company was born. Looking forward to get to know everyone.
