The funniest thing I ever heard.

A lady called into the talkback radio program a couple of years ago. She was reporting a kangaroo in her suburban backyard. It had taken refuge under the porch. Her Italian speaking father was talking to it, trying to coax it out with a piece of bread.
She said, and I quote, "Papa, dont talk to it in Italian, its Australian, it wont understand you, speak English".
I nearly wet my pants.
