We've had people here in Indy camped out, waiting for days in the freezing rain, hoping to buy one as soon as they "officially" go on sale just so they can turn around and make a mint (they hope) on e-bay.
I'm thinking the difference in price from retail to the outrageous e-bay bids is the "cost of impatience".
Just think of all the bee stuff you could buy instead!

Same thing here. Have to wonder about the inteligents of the people buying those off of E-bay.
Have to wonder why the manufactor didn't just auction them off on E-bay.

I was watching a post since last night, when a fellow at EBay posts $10,000.00 for a PS3 with controller and 2 games, he is already down to $3999.00 and dropping quickly. He didn't notice how much competition is out there. It makes me wonder, are ANY of these people in the line are actually buying them for themselves or are they all headed to EBay?

I don't think your ideal dream machine is too far away, we just need someone to BARELY figure out how to do it and with a year, it is common place on the market in a full and rich version. Paradgym shifts in technology are way behind the curve, computers (even simpler ones) do nearly everything we currently need them to do - so we need EMERSION PC to boost the next generation of technology. I honestly believe it is not far away, surely in our own life-times.

My gradfather used to say that it doesn't sell its overpriced. As long as somebody is will to pay $5000 for a new toy it's not overpriced. I spent over $16K when I bought my truck (F-150 4X4)

I have some gamer friends, they enjoy this stuff, I personaly go out of it cause I dont have money and would rather put it to good use, Bee's or plants. I could easly put 500 bucks towards an extractor... Even though I really dont need it.

There is a site that is called "smash my toy" or something. These people line up for days for whatever is on offer and infront of all of the people in the queue, smash it to bits.
