I'm having trouble searching the slang name for this. My father-in-law told me about how when they were young they'd toss potatoes in the campfire coals and burn the skins, but pull then out, brush them off and they were the most tender and tasty tatter you ever had. You'd split them open, eat the insides and fold half a stick of butter inside the burnt skins (like a hotdog in a bun) and just cover with salt and chomp down.
I thought it something like Black-Jackets, but it still doesn't sound right. Anyone know?
