Puk-Wud-Jies and OOParts.

I have always been fascinated by things that are out of context. As a child I heard a story from a local coal miner about a brass colored "Hammer" found deep in a coal mine. it appeared as a large piece of coal was broken into smaller easier to move chunks.
Other things like cup shaped metal objects and even possible spark plugs have been found encased in rock.
How, I wonder, could such things happen.
Another item is one I just read and heard about. The local Indians spoke of a tribe of "Wild forest men" called the Puk-Wud-Jie. Not the hulking sasquatch types but a small 18 inch light skinned people that lived in the forests and traded with the Indianas.
I even saw a local TV show that mentioned them in passing.
Amazing how some things seem to challenge our explainations of history and the world in wich we live.

Uhmm rock sediment can easly form (FAST) if time allows.
Rember in physical science (or chemistry) when you had that string, (maybe you did this when you were younger) and you christalized sugar onto it to make "rock candy" Same idea, Stalagimights could form fast as well, as could gorges, or "canyons" it doesnt take as long to do some of the things you might think take thousands and even millions of years!

Theres a post in one of the metal detecting forums, I cant find it, I posted about it somewhere but I cant remember if it was here.
Anyways, a guy found this old chinese seal somewhee in the US, really ancient, and to cut a long story short he sold it to a chinese professor over the net. Next thing you know the professor is on a plane, lands in the us, wants to see exactly where it was found, takes photos and measurements, its in all the academic papers, big hoo ha, the professor holds court to all the experts. front page news etc.
It turns out its from the 1100s or something, and as far as the experts can tell, its proof that the chinese traded with the indians way back then.
The seal was from the emporer saying whoever had it was his agent and allowed to trade or something. It turns out that some of the symbols on the seal are used in Indian cultue to this day.
So.............18 inch dudes in the forest........anythings possible.
I wish I could find the post...its driving me nuts!
