What kind of ink? Some ink will come out in regular wash.

Any:
First, Glad to see you around
My wife Ladybee (Tracey) says to use HAIRSPRAY - use a lot of it and blot it good using a rag, it should start to lift out. This is a trick she has used on my work clothes "Dickies" where I often end up having a leaky pen or marker.
Good luck and let us know what happens.

If it's a large ink stain, you can get it out with a pair of scissors.
Take the scissors and cut around the stain. The stain will be gone, you
will just have a hole in your pants.
For hole in pants - add a patch.
For small stains - pen streaks - use hairspray and rub the stain.
There is also a product out there called "Gonzo" it has been know to work. It's in a white bottle with black and red on it. It's a very campy looking bottle that has red lips on it and says "Kiss your stains goodbye."

That should come out in the wash. It comes off the paper everytime I get the paper wet.
Sincerely,

It definitely does not come out in the wash. I have done this before and still have an inkstain on another pair of pants from 2 years ago. Granted it fades everytime, but it's still there.
Still on my fingers right now too. . .

I repair old fountain pens as an additional hobby and have lots of ink get on my clothes etc. There is a product called amodex that is specifically formulated to get out ink stains. I have no financial interest etc... in this company, just a happy user. My son left a ballpoint pen in his pants and it got all over a load of clothes. It took it out in a a flash (thank god for him my wife was upset!!!). It is expensive, about $10 for a 2 oz bottle, but a little goes a long way.

Hairspray works like magic! I worked as a receptionist at a busy medical clinic always getting small ink marks on my nice clothes. I had stashed a trial size hairspray under the sink in the bathroom for quick touch ups and it was always there to save me from the embarrassing ink stain! Put a dry paper towel under the stain and spray from the top. The ink will be absorbed into the cloth quickly!
