Hi!
I'm just starting and I'm suffering from "info-overload". I've read several books on begining bee keeping and can't decide on what I need to get started.
I'm getting the Brushy Mountain starter kit. plus 2 more hives, I want to get 2 hives started,so I'm ordering 2 3lb.packages of bees with queens.
What I'm confused about is how many extra frames should I buy? Do I need to get some bee meds for my first season or should I wait till next spring?
Let me put it this way-I have $1000.00 to work with this year, what would you buy to start with? I'd like to have 2 working hives this season and hope to expand next year if all goes well. suggestions?
