How serious is the use of misquito foggers to bees in the range area?
Are some chemicals better or worst for use in them?
thanks, Stan

If you fog in the daytime you'll kill the bees who pass through it. If you fog at night you'll kill the mosquitoes with little effect on the bees.

I only know of the chemicals that COME with them.

I like doing cut-outs, but I love catching swarms!

Most all chemicals are highly toxic to bees.

If you read the back of the container it usually has a ratio of how much of the pesticide kills how many of the target insect. That's usually pretty effective in establishing the toxicity of a given chemical. I've never had any bad experience with bees and fogger despite in the summer, if you want to be outside around dusk you MUST use it. Lately it's been getting overuse with the whole scare of West Nile Virus and the dying pigons.
