Field Gate Design and construction plans etc ?

I am looking for simple but effective designs for farm gate to pastures.

I do not have to keep animals in, but do want to keep cars and trucks out.

just put 2 4x4 on both sides of the road or path and hinge a 2x4 at the top with a brace underneith it to for a triangle brace that is also hinged, I could draw it but cant get it to post right now, this is a cheap block that you can put a padlock on the end to lock it to the other post or if it is a wide road make a gate on both and a padlock in the middle to hook them together.

I was thinking along those lines, but thinking about using steel pipe instead of 2x4s.  Was hoping to find a plan on the web showing how they handle the hinges when they use pipe since the weight would be much higher.

if you can weld go by the same design just weld everything together.
