Robo's Swarm Traps
« on: January 18, 2014, 07:17:24 PM »
I built 5 of Rob's 30 Liter swarm traps the other day and got around to painting them today. It was sunny and 55 degrees here today and I'm itchy!
Thanks again for the plans, Rob.

Is there a link for those traps? I built 8 from D Coates plans. Nothing wrong with them I would just like to have some different ones out there. I thought about building one out of plywood maybe 10" wide and 5' tall. I'm guessing it would resemble a tree more so. It could be modified to access the frames from the top portion.

thanks

There are plans for a 20 liter and a 30 liter trap. Rob says he's done a good bit of investigation, setting both traps together, and he has more success with the 30 liter..   http://robo.bushkillfarms.com/beekeeping/downloads/

Thanks for the link. I'll try to build some before it's too late.
