Like many from our particular era (add aging to old injuries) I have no bitterness from my experiences, only toward the 'system' that continues to put its people in harms way for the profits of the few. That's not meant to discredit how you feel about your experience, I would never do that to you or anyone. I'm just letting you know there is an 'alternative' viewpoint, probably many….as many as 2.5 million in our case, no?.
Lets just say I figured out who the real enemies (of the people) were/are while serving in Vietnam on behalf of the Military, Congressional, Industrial Complex and made the conscious decision there and then that I would "NEVER AGAIN" just accept such a wrong without a fight. As an old man my only regret is that I didn't do more.
But to answer; I have complex issues relating to both physical and mental injuries, but was still able to maintain employment for over 40 years after the 'event (s)'. I do spend time in a wheelchair these days and/or must use a cane to get around. I also spend time in regular 'rap' sessions with my brothers (God Bless them) and must complete regular 'check ins' with VA's mental health personal. Not sure if that's what you're looking for
What 'are' you looking for iddee?
I;m looking for 'affordable, accessible healthcare for everyone. My THREE HOUR, ONE WAY drive to the MPLS VA is affordable but hardly accessible.
