Obama and God (or, Obama without God)
« on: November 19, 2013, 05:51:35 PM »
from today's (Nov 19) "End of Day" report by Campaign for Working Families:

Obama And God

Today is the 150th anniversary of President Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address. Filmmaker Ken Burns videotaped 61 noted Americans reading the famous words. One of them of course was President Obama, who you can watch here http://http://www.wmal.com/common/page.php?pt=WATCH%3A+President+Obama+Leaves+Out+An+Important+Word+In+His+Reading+Of+The+Gettysburg+Address+-+God&id=55903&is_corp=0. You will notice that the President does something in his recitation that no one else does. At the point in the speech when Lincoln said, “that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom,” Obama leaves out “under God.”

This isn’t the first time Obama has given God the boot. Repeatedly in the early years of his presidency, Obama did a similar edit of another key historical U.S. document, The Declaration of Independence, leaving out “endowed by their Creator,” from the second paragraph. I am guessing that God is not amused.

<end quote>

Can someone, anyone PLEASE explain to me what this man is thinking? Is he so opposed to anything resembling religion that he can't even read an historical quote without "editing" it???

SIGH.... Stepping off my soapbox now....

He is a socialist Muslim.   When he was elected, he was quoted as saying that.. now that he was going to be president, he would have to set aside his dislike. Of this country and its predominant religions? To be a good president.. apparently he cant do any of that..
 "The American flag is a sign of oppression."  He was TOLD he had to salute the flag, or he would have never started doing that either...
   "All this fuss over a flag?" from his wife...

  If you look up (Barry's) back ground.. EVEN what little of it is proven fact. Any American of all parties but the socialist Democrat party would NEVER have voted for him...  I dont consider Socialists Americans, they need to be deported to a socialist country, if they refuse to go then shoot them as Traitors. I'll volunteer. Give them all guns to defend themselves.. I'll still Volunteer. My Grandfathers fought in ww2. My son has been to Afghanistan..  My Brother in Law gave his life. In between we all served. I feel that we ALL wasted our time and risked or gave our lives to defend the freedom of people who are now destroying what we fought and died to protect.
39 Hives and growing.  Havent found the end of the comfort zone yet.

Arrogance, I think.
Quite difficult matters can be explained even to a slow-witted man, if only he has not already adopted a wrong opinion about them; but the simplest things cannot be made clear even to a very intelligent man if he is firmly persuaded that he already knows, and knows indubitably, the truth of the matter under consideration. -Leo Tolstoy

To some people actions speak louder than words.  Obama’s actions are more in-line with the teachings of Jesus than many on the other side of the isle.

Obama is a tragic fool.

I think he genuinely believes what he's doing is the best course of action, but he's to blind to see the damage he's leaving in his wake.
