Turkey Dinner
« on: September 26, 2013, 12:16:33 AM »
Saw these fine looking birds in my backyard today.

What am I going to need to need to get me some Turkey to go with Danno’s Sauerkraut?  Am I going to need an AR15 to get a bird?

I think you misunderstood.  He was saying it would scare them away...

Nice place you got there, Blue. And a fine flock of birds.

You could always put some corn on a trotline hook and tie it off. Make sure the pointed end is sticking through the kernel of corn. That way it can't slip out of their throat and have them get away.

I had an older family friend in his 80's. He hit a turkey one warm day with his truck. Well he was raised during the depression era. Everybody knows you just don't throw good meat away. Well, he should of. He got sick as a dog from eating that bird. Something about him cleaning it right on a warm day.

Around here a decade or so ago it was a rare thing to see a turkey. Now you have to swerve to miss them.
