If this does not speak to the character of the individual, then nothing does.

True definition between Chicken Salad vs Chicken $hit

Chicken Salad
President George W. Bush's speech after the
capture of Saddam Hussein:
"The success of yesterday's mission is a tribute to our men
and women now serving in Iraq. The operation was based
on the superb work of intelligence analysts who found the
dictator's footprints in a vast country. The operation was
carried out with skill and precision by a brave fighting
force. Our servicemen and women and our coalition allies
have faced many dangers in the hunt for members of the
fallen regime, and in their effort to bring hope and
freedom to the Iraqi people. Their work continues, and so
do the risks. Today, on behalf of the nation, I thank the
members of our Armed Forces and I congratulate them!"

And Chicken bleep!
Obama's speech after the killing of Osama
bin Laden:
"And so shortly after taking office, I directed Leon Panetta,
the Director of the CIA, to make the killing or capture of
bin Laden the top priority of our war against al Qaeda,
even as we continued our broader efforts to disrupt,
dismantle, and defeat his network. Then, last August, I
was briefed on a possible lead to bin Laden. It was far
from certain, and it took many months to run this thread
to ground. I met repeatedly with my national security
team as we developed more information about the
possibility that we had located bin Laden hiding within
a compound deep inside of Pakistan. And finally, last
week, I determined that we had enough intelligence to
take action, and I authorized an operation to get Osama bin
Laden and bring him to justice. Today, at my direction,
the United States launched a targeted operation against
that compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan."

Obama did not once acknowledge our
brave men and women who fight for
our country...and that my friends is chicken bleep!

I think you just posted this a couple of weeks ago... not that I didn't enjoy and agree with it...

The contrast of character and lack of character is striking...

I may have. Getting so senile in my older days I even agree with Bluebee now and then. I don't think there's any hope left for me.

You must be getting senile.  Being disarmed does not make  you safer...

Tell me, bluebee, who can I turn them in to that will guarantee me that they can handle them better than me? One of the reasons I have them is to protect myself from those who carry authority without a corresponding amount of common sense.

I believe that our Govt would take great pleasure in accepting your firearms. But it isnt the Govt who will be protecting you/us..   In the event you HAVE an emergency, your going to be dialing 911, and dealing with an operator, who has likely heard it all, and is not going to do ANYTHING until you calm down and explain EVERYTHING to her/him and include an address...
Try to do that sometime when your adrenalin is maxed out and someone is trying to kick in your door. Not so easy as you think.
(I have WATCHED a grown man, EJECT all 5 shells from his gun.. THINKING he was firing it at a trophy buck)
Adrenalin will screw up your perfectly planned response every time unless your prepared.
Have you listened to the 911 calls that specifically start... He's Kicking the door in!   OR   HE'S IN MY HOUSE!    If you havent you need to. Listen to the screaming, and worst of all, listen to the screaming end abruptly, while the 911 operator is saying  Ma'am? Ma'am? Are you still there Ma'am? And she hasnt even sent the police because she didnt get an address yet...

You see... In my house.. I would call 911 too,....
"He's IN THE HOUSE WITH ME!!!! Oh god! Here he comes!   BOOOOOM!!!
OK, you needed an address right?  Hey..... can I drag him out so he stops bleeding on my floor?

They say that hell hath no fury like a woman scorned..
   That may be true..
But you kick in my 300 dollar electronic lock, attached to a 2300 dollar front door, and in so doing threaten the life of the old gal I married and still love with all my heart... Huh   May god have mercy on you, because mercy isnt what your about to meet.
The ability to protect her, is worth a LOT more to me than my own life or property. The police, CANNOT protect you. WILL not protect you, because they cannot BE there when you need them.
The ONLY time a Police officer has the magical ability be there instantly.. is when your in a hurry and dont come to a complete stop.

Old mech,
 goodpost
If we all acted like that no one would have to worry about having someone break into their house. Most of the criminals would not try it and the rest would only do it once and would no longer be a problem.
Before government started to protect criminals and allow them to sue you if they got hurt after breaking in to your house, not to many were willing to try it especially when someone was home.
