I am new to this type of communication these forums have allot of postings some are years old. how can I set it up that I see the newest posts first. I see the oldest postings first now. thanks for putting up with this novice forum user.

Top left corner under your name click on "show unread posts since last visit", then mark it in your favorites and the site will open with that page.

Although Nella's comment is a great way to watch the forum (my preferred method),  to answer your question update your settings as follows:

Profile -> Modify Profile -> Look & Layout Preferences -> Show most recent posts at the top

If you set your profile as Rob said, you can still use the unread posts since last visit.At leat then you won't get five year old posts first on the list. Smiley
