Freedom of speech attack
« on: May 31, 2013, 02:08:12 PM »
a lot of countries have limited speech with "hate speech laws".  these laws are pretty subjective and have landed people in legal trouble for speaking out about islam, gays, etc.

in this country we have tolerated the speech of others even when we don't like it. why?  because we have a constitution that protects our right to speak our mind.  our founders determined that it was better to put up with hearing things we didn't like, than to land in jail for saying something that someone else didn't like.

now comes this:

http://www.judicialwatch.org/blog/2013/05/doj-social-media-posts-trashing-muslims-may-violate-civil-rights/

you'll want to read the entire article, but here are a couple of gems.

In the unprecedented event, Attorney General Eric Holder assured a San Francisco-based organization (Muslim Advocates) that urges members not to cooperate in federal terrorism investigations that the “us versus them” environment created by the U.S. government, law enforcement agents and fellow citizens is unacceptable and inconsistent with what America is all about.

“Muslims and Arab Americans have helped build and strengthen our nation,” Holder said after expressing that he is “grateful” to have Muslims as a partner in promoting tolerance, ensuring public safety and protecting civil rights. He also vowed to strengthen “crucial dialogue” between Muslim and Arab-American communities and law enforcement.

--------

The area’s top federal prosecutor, Bill Killian, will address a topic that most Americans are likely unfamiliar with, even those well versed on the Constitution; that federal civil rights laws can actually be violated by those who post inflammatory documents aimed at Muslims on social media. “This is an educational effort with civil rights laws as they play into freedom of religion and exercising freedom of religion,” Killian says in the local news story. “This is also to inform the public what federal laws are in effect and what the consequences are.”
.....The greatest changes occur in their country without their cooperation. They are not even aware of precisely what has taken place. They suspect it; they have heard of the event by chance. More than that, they are unconcerned with the fortunes of their village, the safety of their streets, the fate of their church and its vestry. They think that such things have nothing to do with them, that they belong to a powerful stranger called “the government.” They enjoy these goods as tenants, without a sense of ownership, and never give a thought to how they might be improved.....

Scary isn't it? People actually think"federal"laws trump the Constitution. That is what you get by dumbing down the populace with the government run education system. All part of the plan of "incrementalism". It's rolling fast now, people better be prepared to reel it in soon.

It is scary!  I was talking to a couple of my daughters friends who are fresh out of high school. They can't tell you much about the constitution however they are well versed in "Hate speech" and "global warming".

Isn't it strange that this administration is all about protecting the Muslims rights?  While they are stepping all over American citizens rights using the IRS and the DOJ to do it.
And to answer my own question it is not really strange if you just do alittle background check on Eric Holder and Barack Obama you can see where their true allegiance is.

And since we are discussing Muslims I have the names of three well known men who changed their names. Can you tell me why?
Lu Al Cinder = Kareem Abdul Jabar
Cassius Clay = Mohammed Ali
Barry Soetoro = Barack Hussein Obama

Buzz, what makes any of us think that an organization that is unable to deliver a letter at a profit, is capable of educating a child?
