The Left Wing's new election policy.
« on: May 22, 2013, 02:33:17 PM »
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/05/21/democratic-sen-whitehouse-apologizes-for-climate-republican/

Rhode Island Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse has apologized for remarks Monday in which he linked Oklahoma "cyclones" to climate change while berating Republicans for their stance on the issue -- around the time a massive tornado killed dozens in that state.

A Whitehouse spokesman said Tuesday the politically charged remarks were pre-written as part of the senator’s weekly Senate floor speech on climate change.

“Tragically and unbeknownst to the senator at the time, a series of tornadoes were hitting Oklahoma at the same moment he gave his remarks,” the spokesman said. “Senator Whitehouse regrets the timing of his speech and offers his thoughts and prayers to the victims of yesterday’s storms and their families, and he stands ready to work with the senators from Oklahoma to assist them and their constituents in this time of need.” …

SURE HE DID.

The only thing this ogre regrets is the timing of his hateful speech.  His heart is still to cold for butter to melt in his mouth.  I'll bet you that when he got back to the Senate Cloak Room that Senator Whitehouse danced as it were a little fandango on the graves of each and every child killed in Oklahoma's Monday tornadoes.  But hey, any means justifies the end to Obama and his minions in the Democrat Senate including gloating when the children of his enemies die.  Even tricky Dick Nixon was not this cold.  Evidently murdering already born children by slowly starving them or exposing them to the elements is the new Democrat Party's new if not widely known policy.  However while Senator Whitehouse is opposed to the children in Oklahoma and their families receiving emergency Federal aid, the people in Whitehouse's home state of Rhode Island who CHOSE to live on the dangerous and flood prone seacoast are sopping up federal dollars like a starving man sops up gravy.

Being of the Left handed persuasion means that you never have to say your sorry, just get your public relations mouth piece to read an apology for you.

Fox Creek's little slip of the left index finger when he typed the name Whirehouse is more to the point about this Senator.  Run Whirehouse through Spell Check to see what I mean. :lau:

As I've asked you before, were are the buyers in this new stock market bubble?

What Obama is doing is using $85,000,000,000 of wet ink quantitative easing dollars per month to pump the stock market full of hot air.  When the balloon pops Obama hopes that he will be leaving office or even already out of office.  His true plan is to saddle the next President with the blame.  In Obama's universe he hopes the GOP is in power then so that they will be blamed.  The Democrats will be ruined if Hillary or Biden is elected instead.  Two days before leaving office Hillary's husband used a similar ploy to portray G W B as an ogre who wanted to poison everyone in the West with arsenic. Shenanigans like these are a well known and time honored tradition in Democrat Party politics.

The stock market is not a zero sum system Kingbee.  You don’t need a ton of buyers to drive the prices to the moon.  All you need is people thinking a piece of paper (stock) is super valuable and not selling.  Add to that environment  buyers suddenly thinking stocks is a good investment again and you have prices take off.  A feeding frenzy.

You are right, it’s a bubble, driven by speculation like most bubbles (tech stocks in the late 90s, recent housing bubble, ect).  Look in your history books, we go from bubble to bust all the time.  It doesn’t do much good to just sit back and complain about it, does it?

If the bubble doesn’t burst before 2016, I hope you can learn how to say Hello Madam President Hillary. :)  That’s how you win elections.

$85,000,000,000 per month in just printed dollars are like the boll weevil that was just looking for a home. This is a powerful temptation and inducement for the FED to dabble in the troubled waters of the Dow.  Deposits and bonds are not paying squat, and where do you suggest that the FED invest or park these new or phantom dollars, in Syrian government bonds?  Come on your smarter than that Blue.... Blue.... Oh Blue.... HEY BLUE!  :-D

We don’t have boll weevil’s up here.... :?

Did you miss my last lesson on Bonds?  The REASON your deposits and bonds (government bonds that is) aren’t paying squat is because the Fed is buying these with that $85 billion a month in QE.   Nobody can out buy the Fed, so if they’re buying they drive the prices higher and yields lower.  Eventually the yield on the government bonds drops to the level the Fed wants them to be.  At the present time, that is below the belly of a blue whale!

The goal of the Fed is to lower the cost of borrowing so more people will borrow money to buy houses, start businesses, hire people (build more houses), and get the economy humming.

What troubled waters of the Dow do you speak of Kingbee?  Is there another ice darn somewhere we haven’t become aware of yet?   When the yields on the bonds drop to a pittance, it encourages “investors” to dump the bonds and buy stocks.  That drives up the Dow.  When Big Ben has inflation under control, that discourages “investors” from “investing” in gold.  That means more people putting more money in stocks.  As you’ve noted:  more buyers = higher prices.

Good stock market = Democrats win in 2016.

you could be right about that.  it's exactly the type of thing upon which dems would base their vote.

Yes....yes....good point!  In California, the conservatives did go the way of the Spotted Owl. Decades ago your leftist gained control of Sacramento. Although we had a couple of moderate republicans holding the governors office through the years, the leftist have been in control of the states finances. You know the story and so do the rest of us. Leftist policies have led to financial disaster! Just google " businesses leaving Ca. " The list is incredibly long. Have you followed the news? So again BB, I ask you to explain why America should follow California's  lead?  Here in the "financial disaster state", we have to live by Carter's "misery index". Thanks Leftist everywhere. Way to go!
