>I wonder if the "real natives" would have come to grasp the concept of the wheel by now?

We had the concept of the wheel long before wasicus showed up.  You know in some countries they knew about wheels and outlawed them because they destroy roads.

>The "real natives" were actually quite brutal when it came to enemy tribes.

I guess that depends on the tribe and your definition of brutal.  Most would never harm a child or a woman.

>The "real natives" were also able to return a favor to the Europeans. Gave them syphilis.

I think there is plenty of evidence that it came from pigs and sheep...

People have been crossing the southern border for years and years under GOP administrations that have done nothing.  What do you say about Reagan, Bush Sr, and Bush Jr sitting on their hands?
But the illegals have been entering the USA for the last 5 year, 176 days, 22 hours, and 6 minutes under Hussein's watch (but who's counting?)....and at highly increased numbers with a welcome mat laid out by him.  He wants them to become a burden on our struggling economy and beat down the tax-paying mom-and-pops just a little bit more.  And who knows what amount of drugs and low-lifes with evil intent are entering.  It is just another way Hussein has found to weaken the USA.

Hussein is flashing the USA's belly to the enemy, making it vulnerable to foreign theologies and ideas for which American men and women have died defending against for close to 250 years.  I am convinced that Hussein hates America, his intention is to wound it and allow it to be torn apart by the same hyenas that have circled it all these years.  Once rendering our nation unidentifiable by the hyenas is finished then it will be made into something completely foreign to America's founding fathers.  In every instance available to him, Hussein is pouring water on the campfire of Freedom and Liberty and the hyenas are tightening their circle and moving closer in to the dimming fire.

American blood spilled to protect the freedom and peace of people all over the world.  320,000 USA casualties in WWI, 1,076,000 USA casualties in WWII, 128,000 USA casualties in the Korean War, 211,000 casualties in the Vietnam "conflict", 57,000 USA casualties in "War on Terror".  Benghazi, Libya, 13 USA casualties. These figures don't include 70,000 MIA.  But, the leaders of one political party of the United States of America continue to make the statement..."What difference does it make?".

"We can't expect the American People to jump from Capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses of Socialism, until they awaken one day to find that they have Communism."..."The press is our chief ideological weapon." - Nikita Khrushchev

As for Russians, I have met and worked with quite a few of them

no doubt some are.  that's why some have been able to make a fortune in the new russia.  however, many came here and had not clue how to do anything other than queue up for handouts.  where they came from, the got the same regardless of effort. here, the idea of reward for effort was so foreign to them that they could not/did not function.

but again, you do not answer questions.

what is a "real native"?

.....The greatest changes occur in their country without their cooperation. They are not even aware of precisely what has taken place. They suspect it; they have heard of the event by chance. More than that, they are unconcerned with the fortunes of their village, the safety of their streets, the fate of their church and its vestry. They think that such things have nothing to do with them, that they belong to a powerful stranger called “the government.” They enjoy these goods as tenants, without a sense of ownership, and never give a thought to how they might be improved.....

My post ( accurate in my opinion ) was a response to a ridiculous statement. It was more about human nature. Not intended to insult anyone. ... well .... maybe .... blu ..... no I better not.

in the late '70's i was able to work with Vietnamese refuges.  in the late '80's, Russian "refugees".  guess which group succeed and which is still sucking up welfare?
I have no idea, do tell?  I’ve only known one kid from Vietnam; he was a go getter.  As for Russians, I have met and worked with quite a few of them.  Every single one I’ve worked with was smarter and a better worker than their American counterparts.  The GOP types and their conspiracy theories just don’t get the job done when real knowledge is required to make something.

People have been crossing the southern border for years and years under GOP administrations that have done nothing.  What do you say about Reagan, Bush Sr, and Bush Jr sitting on their hands?  Maybe they did the “ruining” Fox is stammering about?  Maybe the politicians are more beholden to the CEOs and their cheap illegal labor than actually "representing" the people who elected them?  A secure border without drugs coming north and money going south might also alleviate some of the problems (violence) in Central America.  Nobody seems to want to hold the upper and middle class drug users accountable though; just the dealers.

    All quite ridiculous.

We all know the republicans share the blame.

Reagan was lied to. He tried.

You may want to accuse me of some things. Stammering would not be accurate. Try again.

Beginning to think, I'm in your head.

I was listening to a radio program on the way home yesterday called "Clearing the Air". It's local and hosted by an established business man who's had a motor sport business around here for decades. It's a conspiracy show so I take it with a grain of salt.

At the very opening of his show he had this to say; He said he had heard this from about 5 different sources, which are all folks who are reputable and would be in the position to know. One of which was a four star general. He said that this border crisis is all deliberate. The number of people coming across the border will increase to 1 million a month. The UN will start getting involved and declare this a refugee crisis thus putting boots on the ground. He said what folks don't realize is that the UN is here already. He advised not tackling them because they will be far more armed with sophisticate weapons.

The other thing that is going around in these circles is that by 2016 the dollar will be worthless. It will not be used as the world's currency nearly as much as now. Enough to bring this about. Then he went into the effects of a worthless dollar.

Points to be taken; Montgomery has Maxwell AFB & Gunter Annex (formerly Gunter AF station) The two are home to the US Air War College and one of the major computer processing (something) for the Air Force and also civilians. Another point is more and more countries are shunning using the US dollar as a world reserve currency. I think they are turning to bartering; swapping wheat for oil and ect.

As crazy as stuff is now there's too much happening to ignore it. Again put it on the shelf and take with a grain of salt.
