Maybe next time the R's will try running with, oh I don't know, maybe a conservative.

i think a lot of Washington conservatives are out of touch with conservatives in real life.  they believe what the press tells them, that a real conservative doesn't have a chance these days, and they go with it.  + we put out people like santorum as our "real conservatives" and that doesn't work well.

fewer debates and more attention to policy, i think.  i'd like to have seen more from Perry, for instance.  we don't need the most polished and popular, we need someone who can do the job.
i don't give a rats backside if they are ugly, stutter, and can't put a coherent thought together on TV, as long as they can formulate the policy, pick the right people, and have the guts to get the job done.

.....The greatest changes occur in their country without their cooperation. They are not even aware of precisely what has taken place. They suspect it; they have heard of the event by chance. More than that, they are unconcerned with the fortunes of their village, the safety of their streets, the fate of their church and its vestry. They think that such things have nothing to do with them, that they belong to a powerful stranger called “the government.” They enjoy these goods as tenants, without a sense of ownership, and never give a thought to how they might be improved.....

Maybe you should have actually watched the debates?  They covered plenty of policy.  There was Newt and his moon base.  Yeah, that would probably only cost about $100 right. laugh  We're broke people.  Perry was going to cut 3 departments but couldn't remember which 3. laugh  Bachman was just scary. evil  Herman had his 7 7 7 plan that didn't add up.  Ron Paul did have some good ideas, along with his crazy ones.  The only one that seemed even remotely fit for the office was Romney; the liberal. cool  Same thing will happen next time people.  The RNC isn't dumb enough to allow some kook like Bachman to wreck an entire election.  Romney was clearly your best hope, because he DID come close to Obama, whereas none of those other "candidates" would have even been close.  Unfortunately Romney couldn't even win his home state. laugh

Let me help you out.

Liberalism at its best with these two presidential candidits

Obama: as a teen. Smoking dope and snorting cocaine.             Romney may or may not have been involved in cutting some ones hair.
Obama: Parents and grandparents were communist.                 Romney: father was a capitalist business man.
Obama: health care. federal and unconstitutional.                     Romney: state run. and constitutional
Obama: abortion. voted for partial birth abortion                                Romney: only in case of rape
Obama: welfare. give it to everyone weather or not they deserve it.     Romney: welfare needs reforming
Obama: gun control. take em all and educate the people.                    Romney: believes in the second amendment rights
Obama: homosexuality. believes in two men marrying each other.        Romney: believes in one man and one woman marriages.

Just a few similarities

Nice rant! .....Now tell us all what it was about Obama's past which made him so, "fit for office" ?    Was it the dope smoking? Or the coke snorting? Maybe his extensive voting record in his historic lengthily time in the senate?

Remember we are dealing with a political South Paw here.

The only thing to recommend Obama was his own claim on his tuition aid application to Occidental College that he (Obama) was a non resident alien from Indonesia and that he was not a natural born citizen of the United States of America.

Not making to much of the Birther issue because regardless of where he was born or hatched, at the very least Obama committed fraud when he enrolled at Occidental and received a grant paying for his tuition as a foreign exchange student from Indonesia.   rolleyes
