I JUST CHECK MY HIVES YESTERDAY AND THE WAX MOTH WAS IN SOME OF THE TOP HIVE FRAMES. I BRUSH ALL THE BEES DOWN IN THE SINGLE HIVE BODY AND CARRIED THE FRAMES IN FOR A FREEZE JOB. SHOULD I PUT THEM BACK ON IN A FEW DAYS? VERY LITTLE BROOD IN THE BOTTOM HIVE , NONE IN THE TOP HIVE. ALSO I TRIED TOP FEEDING THEM WITH A PAIL FEEDER OVER THE INTER COVER. OK SO FOR? I DON'T KNOW BUT I DON'T LIKE EVEN THE SIGHT OF ONE WAX MOTH.- COLVIN

If you had wax moth in the top brood chamber this means the bee population was not large enough to protect both brood chambers.  Don't put it back on unless the hive population needs it.  I doubt that it will this time of year. cef
