I remeber seeing "Alliance" on a couple of the suppliers web pages. I was encouraged to go and find the Alliance Beekeepers Woodware web page after I read your post and they have some good information like measurements etc. They list Redpaths as one of their distributors too. I just spoke to my commercial beekeeping friend and he spoke highly of the reliance equipment - good quality and good fit. Judjing by what he said, a fair portion of beekeepers are using Alliance gear in Australia.
I just went ahead and cut 5 ideal boxes down to the same width as yours ...so it's your fault if they are wrong
I Managed to neaten up some of my past dodgy woodwork and found where a few borers had been. I've got the pieces soaking with some "detergent" in the wash trough at the moment to deter the borers a bit before I reassemble them. A spot of polyurethane glue here and there should fill up any small gaps here and there left by the disassembly process. I'll look at three of the 9 and 10 frame bottom boards I have next to see if they can be modified without hitting any nails, then think about building a few lids.
