Dropping back in
« on: February 17, 2013, 04:18:58 PM »
Hi everyone. Just a quick hello and update. I've been inactive for a good while in the forum. Still have my bees, but I'm down to one hive. (about to do a split) - Partly due to drought, and a good bit to inexperience. Had a deadout this morning and thought I smelled bug spray - could have been cold/hunger/robbery too, since we had days of rain (no foraging) and then a hard cold snap.
Getting more into chickens, ducks (pets, "Howard" and "Petunia" Khaki Campbells) - Some kinda mutt chickens that were supposed to be Buff Orpingtons too (uh, no) Learning about "Aquaponics" (totally new route for me - this year.) I'll try to get pictures so we can all chuckle at my ineptitude once I get a handle on it. (Ha! - a handle - yeah, right.)
Glad to be back, soaking up knowledge wherever I can find it.

glad you are back.  looking toward spring seems to bring lots of folks back.   :-D
One could not learn history from architecture any more than one could learn it from books. Statues, inscriptions, memorial stones, the names of streets ? anything that might throw light upon the past had been systematically altered. (1.8.85)

Thanks for the replies.  I was happily surprised my ID was still intact, too.
