A failed congress?
«

A couple nights ago, I was flipping channels and came across the "Ed" show. While I think the guy is an idiot, I watched him go on about the last congress being a complete failure.
Why you ask?
Because the congress prior passed near 4,000 pieces of legislature, and the last congress only passed about 800.
So the last congress is a failure because they did not continue passing another 3200 pieces of legislature.
I know some want big government. But what is wrong with less bills being passed, if they are better ones? How does success get measured by the pure number of how many bills are passed on to the public.
I feel if congress passed no bills for the next ten years, we would all survive.
The senate did not pass a budget in what?...four years. But Congress "only" passed 800 pieces of legislation and is deemed failure by the left.
Pass a budget and whatever farm bill, disaster bills, etc. is needed to run the country. But beyond that, what can you think of that needs 4,000 pieces of legislation every year? What unsafe public situation do we have?
I wonder just how many bills would be passed every year if the left had free control to pass anything they wanted.

There you go again trying to divide us into left and right.
If the left had full control:
We would fix healthcare
We would fix guns
We would fix energy
We would fix taxes.
What else would you like fixed?

I have some broken gunstocks on shotguns! Hey bluebee do you know a good stockmaker? As for fixing the rest, more poor people living off guvmint handouts are the Democrat formula for maintaining power. Well, that and corrupt elections.
