"Nay, it [this constitution of government] must perish, if there be not that vital spirit in the people, which alone can nourish, sustain, and direct all its movements. It is in vain, that statesmen shall form plans of government, in which the beauty and harmony of a republic shall be embodied in visible order, shall be built up on solid substructions, and adorned by every useful ornament, if the inhabitants suffer the silent power of time to dilapidate its walls, or crumble its massy supporters into dust; if the assaults from without are never resisted, and the rottenness and mining from within are never guarded against. Who can preserve the rights and liberties of the people, when they shall be abandoned by themselves? Who shall keep watch in the temple, when the watchmen sleep at their posts? Who shall call upon the people to redeem their possessions, and revive the republic, when their own hands have deliberately and corruptly surrendered them to the oppressor, and have built the prisons, or dug the graves of their own friends?

Since you are showing Pravda stuff did you see this one?

Bye Bye Miss American Pie: Pravda Chides Obama's Soviet Mistake

Pravda, Russia’s leading news publication, pointedly asserts that while Communism has failed miserably in their country, the recent U.S. presidential election demonstrates that it has scored a victory in America. A November editorial titled “Obama’s Soviet Mistake” observes that while Vladimir Putin’s re-election signified popular determination to keep the New World Order agenda out of Russia, President Obama’s did the opposite.

The commentary presents a very dim view of “the illiterate society” that voted to award Obama a second term, influenced by continuing “lies of less taxes while he raises them”, and “speeches of peace and love in the world as he promotes wars as he did in Egypt, Libya and Syria.” It goes on to say that Obama “plans his next war is with Iran as he fires or demotes his generals who get in the way.”

don't know about planning the war with iran.  it would be foolish to degrade your military and then go to war with iran...unless you wanted to lose?  but he has certainly re-ordered the military to more and more reflect his view of things.  it's dangerous and pretty scary for those of us with family still in.

I'm not agreeing with or disagreeing with that part it is just an ex cert from the Pravda editorial.
