The best deer I have ever seen in the woods was when I was about 14. My brother and I were in the woods, in PA, shooting BB guns and we climbed up a small bank where a ditch had been dug out. At the same time two large bucks, a twelve and a fourteen point climbed the other side of the small ditch. We were not more than six feet apart. We all froze staring at each other. After about ten seconds they bolted. It was pretty amazing. Jim
