Some shots from the first few minutes of riding before it got way too muddy to film at Top Trails in Talladega one warm day last year.

How close to Mt. Cheaha is that?
I've done the cycling event their a few years...It's a 100 mile out and back which takes you over the mountain. It's "billed" as the toughest ride in the South. My my experiences there, I'd have to agree! LOL!

Just west of there. It is north of the city of Talladega in an area called Brecon. It is an old defunct army base formally known as the Coosa River Storage Annex. 2800 acres of public land. Best ride around now.

They have the new 4 lane open right to the base, but we get into too much trouble for riding on it.

The new 275 bypass on Alabama highway 21 is now open to automobile traffic so you don't have to go into Talladega to get to Top Trails.

I know. It took them long enough to build that road.

It is still not a bad ride. Good open road. 15 minutes from I-20 to Top Trails. Remember to get your biscuit at Jacks when you drop to 45mph. Not too many red lights. Very good drive really. Takes me over 15 minutes just to get to the store or the bank here in Hiram due to the traffic and red lights. Now when are they going to finish the interstate?
