We've been hearing tornado sirens all evening here in south central Alabama area...and getting information there's going to get lots more tonight, ...it doesn't look too good...plenty of them over in MIssissippi.  Possible injuries here in the county...

They said one came over here, didn't see or hear it.  Some heavy rain, no hail some wind.  Mobile seemed to get it again, they got some damage a couple of weeks ago when that line came through.  You must live close to town Ed, I usually can't hear the one in Ovett.  There was some few miles south and some east and west of here.
We got a lot of rain.  The next to last line had several tornadoes in it.  Hope all goes well.

We had some damage in a residential area in town, but nothing major.  I'm not sure about injuries.  I live a little over 7 miles out of town, rural but on a state highway.  We have civil defense sirens scattered throughout the county in most of the small communities.  From my house (I'm on a hill) I can here two and possibly three sirens from different communities.  The one closest to me is a real earful!

Interestingly, I thought it was all over with and didn't see any warnings then all of a sudden one pops up in northern Pike County...looks like the storm that just came through here.  My daughter down in Covington County is without power and my mentor over in Butler county is without power...both are on rural roads, my mentor back deep on a dirt road so it may be a day or so before he gets power back...or it might be 15 minutes.   I think the danger's pretty much over with for us.  There's a few areas of interest to the east and northeast of us but nothing like over the last couple of hours.

I honestly didn't know the NOAA guys could type as fast as they had to to put out all those warnings!

Well, I thought this thing was dead but that storm that went into Pike county apparently overturned some mobile homes and did other damage.  My daughter to the south of us in Covington county is now under the gun....

Just got some bad news.  Those last few storms that left here and went into Pike county did blow some mobile homes over.  A good friend of mine and his wife survived being thrown out of their overturned trailer.  He is in Montgomery with back and head injuries.  His wife was more fortunate but has been heavily traumatized.  Say a pray for all that were affected by the storm.   It could have been a lot worse in terms of property and human loss, but if you're one of those that got hit then it's about as bad as it gets.

Then line came thru middle Ga. over night. very high winds. My wind station on the roof registared speeds of up to 65 mph. got about 2.2 inches of rain. lots of limbs down, lots of stuff from who knows where in the trees.No outages in the area.  thats about it by this morning it was heading out today have just had sprinkels and high winds. 20-30 with justs to 45. My battery banks in the shop are packed full charged from my wind turbines.

Glad to hear ya'll faired ok, John.  That was a very complex storm system, with cells overlapping cells that overlapped cells.  I saw three of them on radar heading towards my mentors place...he'd already lost power...I updated him via text messages.  The first two merged together and I started getting worried, but about that time the squall line started more or less disintegrating which we were happy to see.

I'm glad you've got turbines left!!!

It's been blustery and *much* cooler here today...really gloomy and dark.  It's supposed to clear up tonight through tomorrow night and then possibility of rain Friday thru Saturday.  That cloud cover appears to make about a 20F degree difference at night.

yea I have been lucky with the turbines. I built them so if they stat to go wild they will ya out of the wind. kind like a self Governor. They have taken gust to 120mph during tornadoes we had come by here a couple years ago within 1/2 mile of us. yea the squall lines were back to back when they came Thur last night after midnight. the wind and rain woke us up so we stayed up till 4:30am because we are gust out of range of the sirens from the city to the south of us in Macon. Good to hear that Ya'll fared well. hope your friends are doing better that got rolled in the manufactured home. I live in a Manufactured home that was craned onto the foundation and has hurricane and tonado banding. ( I paid for the extra  reinforcements ) then I have the foundation tied to the granite mountain that is about 6 feet under the ground here.
