Bear vs Bee Hive

Thought I would share an interesting account related to me by one of my good hunting buddies, this past weekend.
It was this past Saturday morning and my buddy Chris, Todd and I were hunting the Tensas National Wildlife Refuge up in North West, Louisiana. This is the same area I saw the two big bears last year.
My friend Chris was hunting in his deer stand about 30' up and heard what he thought initially were two squirrels racing around a tree but stated the noise was rather load. He listened and listened and leaned out to either side of the tree and was finally able to see a black spot and then made out a large bear at the top of a dead tree. The bear eventually descended and went on its way.
After his hunt, chris went on over to investigate to see if the tree was perhaps a den tree.
As he looked up his eyes widened as he was now looking at a swarm of angry honey bees flying all around a large hole at the top of the tree.
On the ground was some comb and a small handful of robbing bees and some messed up comb and even a few dead bees on the palmettos below.
So Smoky done found himself a bee tree! Pretty neat huh?
I would have loved to have gotten some footage of that account!
Chris did try to take a picture of the event but it was too far for good clarity.
We are going back soon and I will have my camera with me!

Cool! Winnie the Pooh is alive
The ferals I've seen in trees up here don't have holes big enough to even get my paw into. I always like to hear these stories where the bear survives.
