beehives

i started a beehive in the spring and am hoping to start two more in the spring, do they all need to be close together or can i put them on diffferent parts of the property?

For ease of working with them I would want them close to each other. 

I'm not sure how big of a piece of property you're working with.  For an acre yard I would want them all together to keep other areas of the yard from being "bee congested" and preventing outdoor activities from taking place due to the threat of people getting stung.  If we're talking about 40 acres or something then naturally you would have room to place the hives in different areas without interfering with human activities.

You can put them where ever you want.  But I would agree with Ed, for ease of working and checking on them close together will make it easier.  It also depends on the size of property you have and the number of hives you are going to build toward.  Good luck with whichever you choose.
