Hi all,

Found some interesting studies on benefits of condensation in another forum. When I attempted to share these on this forum the link was censored.
What I wanted to share here is the instant and intense outrage I felt as soon as I figured out what was going on. I suppose I take for granted my right to free speech. I have never experienced anything like this before, thank god I live in America. While I acknowledge the right of this forum to do what they want with their website, I am very disappointed. I thought the goal was to share ideas and come up with common solutions to beekeeping problems that are global. I would be very curious to here an explanation for this.

Cheers,
Drew

Hi Drew
Which forum was this, or would a second try not work? With some of the loony politics on here I can't see any reason to censor views on bees! Lips Sealed are being? Unfortunate to put it mildly.

I blame it on Obama.

But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

They think that such things have nothing to do with them, that they belong to a powerful stranger called “the government.” They enjoy these goods as tenants, without a sense of ownership, and never give a thought to how they might be improved.....

This is a private forum provided free of charge thanks to John(Beemaster). We have bylaws here:
http://forum.beemaster.com/index.php/topic,19652.0.html
The mentioned website you are trying to post made personal attacks against the owners and our members of our forum. Upon receiving warnings they tended to escalate the attacks under several usernames and other means. We treat our members with dignity and respect, which they chose not too.
They brought this about on their own,and the list is very small of what you cannot post here. Other members understand why this happens occasionally.
Free speech is a Constitutional protection, not one for our forum. Attacks against the forum or it's members will not be tolerated here. So I would suggest if it irritates you that much, take some time away from the keyboard and read the link I posted. We cut a little slack here and there, but the rules have worked well and we see no reason to change them.
Can the outrage,it's our way of doing things.

Take a breath and relax Drew.  As Buzz says, this is a private business, not a government entity.  Like most private entities, there are rules to follow.  I think BuzzBee, the Beemaster, and the other moderators have done a GREAT job of keeping the forum civil.  Quite honestly I see more censorship on some other forums than I see here.  I think this site has also done a great job sharing ideas; bees and otherwise.  Heck if they were really going to censor ideas and opinions, I would have been censored a long time ago for my political opinions grin

One itty bitty correction...to the best of my knowledge Beemaster is not a business but a rather a kind of hobby that developed from a blog that John started *several* years ago detailing his beginning beekeeping and other aspects of his life...folks started commenting, talking, and as our great patriot Gomer would say SHAZAMM!!!!!!...Beemaster.com was born!  grin  Well, something like that, anyhow.

Bluebee my blue friend, have you seen any ads here? Wink

BTW....it's definitely Obama's fault.

Bluebee says:

" Heck if they were really going to censor ideas and opinions, I would have been censored a long time ago for my political opinions."

And you should be.  tongue   grin

They are "MOSTLY" on the wrong side.

Yes, it is all O'bummer's fault.

The reality is 4 more years, enjoy the glee as long as reality allows. It's not that anyone wishes Obama another pathetic 4 years: that's peeing in our own lemon-aid, it just that many people don't expect much from him either and that's likely based on his track-record. I guess it is best said if you don't expect much from someone, then it's hard for them to disappoint you.

I can't say anything beyond what Buzzbee said, except that ANY PERSONAL ATTACK or THREATS against any member of this forum will raise a flag that will NEVER be taken down. Most everyone knows who you are talking about, but their name will not be posted in these forums, nor will anyone who attempts to get around our filtering to post links get away unscathed.

Just a bi-law reminder: circumventing our filtering does come with banishment from the forum, it is not something that comes with a warning. The reason, it takes effort and forethought - so it is premeditated and inexcusable in all cases.

If you find this harsh, then you don't understand the back-story to the seriousness of this rule. Enough said that no member will be trashed without intervention by our admin team.

Yes, a friendly and peaceful and respectful forum comes at a price, but leave your beliefs of free speech at the door - this is neither a democracy nor a republic and we do our best to create an environment which the world can understand, agree with and abide by - this is not just for USA beekeepers and the one rule I hate to quote, but seems as good a time as any "The Administration team has the right to ban any member, at any time, for any reason" and believe me - this is written in every forums bylaws or small print somewhere.
