Albrecht Ice Sculptures
« on: October 27, 2012, 10:24:27 AM »
i made this video using my new Go Pro Hero3 camera shot in 1080/30M mode. To view this video in maximum viewing quality choose the setting "1080" in the settings mode at the bottom of the youtube page. I was asked to make a video showcasing Emil ice sculpting and as a bonus his Dad who started the company is included in the video.

More on who asked me to make the video as things unfold...  ;)

Hope you enjoy it!

Too cool (literally)! Does this mean we'll have an ice bee at BUD5?

Scott
"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

That is so cool.   You could have made a 30 minute video there and we would still be watching.  Very cool.   I hope all the power cords were GFCI with all that water.   And the electric saws, were they made for the ice industry?   I guess they need no chain oil.   And using an iron, who would have thought of it.   I would like to see some more.

Allen, the chain saws are electric Stihls made for cutting wood! The chains are regular chain saw blades. I asked about this as well. I believe the saws have an oil reservoir but will confirm this with Emil. I'll see about doing some more filming of them ice sculpting.  BTW, the sculpture was delivered tonight. I'll post some pictures soon of what the finished product looked like.
