I decided to suck it up and drive 3 hours to attend the Treatment Free Meeting in Kansas City on Sunday -

HOLY SMOKES!  I was sooooo thankful I did this.  Imagine sitting around in a small group (12 others attended) and talking to Michael Bush for about 8 hours!  He was GREAT - as were the other two presenters.  After listening to Michael extol the virtues of NO TREATMENTS, on my long drive home I decided to move to foundationless frames, 8 frame mediums and start "making" my own queens instead of importing them from the big breeders.  I also found a source for screw top buckets today (university swimming pool) for making a bee vac,  and I just got back from the hardward store with a couple of 1/2 sheets of plywood to make some nuc's for mating, swarms and other assorted needs that I am sure will arise!

So I want to give Don Semple, Michael Bush, Drew Coates and Rod Richter a HUGE THANK YOU for a wonderful meeting.  We even got to hear Michael sing and play his 12 string guitar.   I attached a photo just to show that this man is truely multi-talented!
