If the treaty we are talking about here was agreed on and Ratified by 2/3rds of the Senate it would restrict international trade of firearms...The only way it would impact you or I is that Russian 223 ammo might be harder to get... The US and Russia both rejected the UN's Arms Treaty back in July.. so it is a mute point anyway...

While I can not find anywhere in the United Nations Small Arms Treaty that specifically mandates the confiscation of your pistol, revolver, shotgun, or rifle; I also can not find anything that would prevent the UN from confiscating your firearms or that would entitle you to buy ammo. But do remember that the United Nations and various trade agreements endorsed by the UN, do require that the United States stands by while your job is exported to a third world dictatorship under the guise of fair trade.

That last line in red could be read to allow say a Bengasi peace keeping force to toss you home, trash your possessions, and sexually assault your wife while searching for an illegal 45/70 Government rifle or ammo.

You may view the failure of the Russian American Arms treaty as a victory but I must ask, "A VICTORY FOR WHO?" It is certainly not a victory for a free people or for Americans because our President seems to be on board this treaty as soon as it can’t harm his reelection bid.
