Bjorn's two queen tower system revisited

I had entertained this idea a year or so ago, and it recently came up in a conversation today with a friend. Do you still operate one Bjorne or was it just something you tried out and didn't like or did? What were the overall pro's and cons. The biggest one I can see is complete super removal to access the brood chambers for a swarm cell check. Was the honey production out the roof or was in more in line with two separate good hives with their owns supers?
