An American living in Germany, I'm new to this whole beekeeping thing.  My interest started a number of years ago, but life interfered.  Now I'm ready to start.  My interest has been renewed due to the Medieval group I'm in.  I'm looking to do something that not everyone else is doing, but also is useful.  We like honey and I have numerous recipes I can use it in.  The bees will also help with pollination.  So this is multi-purpose.  We live in the woods and I'm keen to learn about German resources and preventing issues from being in the woods and not in open fields.  Also particular issues in Germany.
