Slow Flies

Why do house flies fly so much slower in the fall than in the summer?  In the summer, it’s a real challenge to swat them down.  They move like lightening.  In the fall, they move like turtles and are easy to swat.  It’s especially satisfying when I can swat them down in mid air.
