A Swarm in western IL ? In September ??

Got a call from over by Springfield, 35 miles east about noon
Was kind of skeptical, but it was a nice day and needed a road trip
Decent sized swarm, maybe 1 to 1.5 pounds, clustered on the trunk of a 7-8 ft Scotch Pine
Got them in a hive with no trouble, going to pick them up Monday when the home-owner gets back.
