Hi Everyone,
I bought a precut Box super thingo base. but I have no idea which part connects with which on the base. I was gonna take a photo when went to the local bee club meeting this weekend but I forgot.
If you could post some pictures of how the base is connected to the super it stop me playing jenga with my wooden ware.

Hit this link and you can see lots of Langstroth bee hives including bottom boards.

Just make sure there is a hole somewhere for the bees to come and go. That’s about all they really need!
As for photos, my stuff is custom built so probably not of much use to you. I just make sure there is always a slot somewhere for the bees to come and go
Sometimes on the bottom, sometimes in the middle, sometimes on the top.

Thank you for the responses. The reason why I am having issues on figuring out the base is because there seems to be this extra board down below. Anyway I have taken some photos* of a couple different layouts based on what materials I was given.
I am really sorry for asking such a silly question on a 4 frame nuc box but I also have two masonite boards for my ten frame super and I am not sure on what goes where. I actually want to cut into the base board so I can stick some cake tins underneath for a small hive beetle trap. So I really don't want to wreak the wrong board.
*Sorry no pictures as I haven't been posting on the forum enough.

Hello Mek,
Goodness knows what that "extra board" is for. I guess you could attach it to the bottom board like in the last picture to make things a bit stronger, but then I wouldn't use those other blocks as well. You could ask the person who gave it to you.

Mek, there are no silly questions. Now that I see your photos, your question makes more sense. Somehow the person you bought the bottom from has taken a simple concept and made it complicated. Beeks are good at that.
As Lone says, you’ll probably have to ask the person what those other boards are suppose to be for. Not knowing any better, I would just use the big board and burn those extra pieces in my smoker

I have not seen any dumb questions on here. There is always someone that says to them selves " I was wondering about that" most of the time me. Tony

It looks to me like they had a toad stand, and the old spacing of the cleats on the base was too close together - so they made a 2nd base that fit neatly on the hive stand with the cleats wider apart so that it would be held secure on the hive stand.
