Homeowners inspection
«

My wife got an email from the new homeowners insurance man today. They were a bit ill over 3 of my bee hives. It was the 3 that are on my back porch. Unsafe? Yes, 2 of them could fall on your head if something caused them to tip. They said move them to the woods with the other hives. I feel like I am putting my children out to pasture. Anyone else ever run into a problem with homeowners insurance?

Yep, one complaint about a 75+ year old pecan tree and a black and tan feist but not valid word about the bees thirty feet from the front door.

What complaint did they have with the feist? It would not hunt?

David, my pecan tree is older, I ask insurance agent if they would pay for it being trimed. He didn't think so, like the old oil filter add, I told him pay now or latter. He has said anything about my trees or bees.

Heck tell him they are part of your security system. someone knocks them over then they start yelling and you or the neighbors call the police to pickup the bodies.
.
Oh sorry I forgot were we are. just dig a deep enough hole to plant them in.
You should get a alarm system discount.

Somehow the inspected thought a twenty pound toothless feist was a pit bull.

A feist is a small terrier. It is said that all rat terriers are feists but not all feists are rat terriers. Some of the breeds that went into the feists are fox terriers, white terriers, black and tan terriers, beagle, whippet and even chihuahua in some lines.
Generally our feists are seperated from the cur breeds by weight class with the curs being larger and similar in make up though often with more bully breed and hound influences.
