well, noticed some duck tape on the ground under a hive a few days ago.  Noticed the bees were always on it.  I figured out they are removing all the sticky off the tape!  cant wait to pry that hive apart! lol

I use masking tape to seal up rotten corners and holes in such.   In the summer time, I know the bees will eat that stuff away to make more entrances.   Used foil tape this year.   It sounds like they are playing the drums popping that foil tape trying to open it up.

It can be used for many other things, like when you accidentally rip open the veil and suit on the same day as you harvest the honey.  That day it was in the rucksack by coincidence.  After that it has always been a role of duct tape in my beekeeping rucksack smiley
