Glad to hear he is going to make a full recovery! Sad about the dog, but I'm glad he got a bite out of the guy.

Thank the good Lord, Schawee is doing better. I sure hope they have some tough laws down there and apply them in full to his attackers.

My wife and I visited with him last night. Bailey spoke with him by phone and texted me Schawee's request, which you all will get a big kick out of. "The food is making me nauseous, please ask JP to bring me a vanilla shake". I called my buddy right after I received Bailey's request and Schawee asked if I could do him a favor. We brought him two vanilla shakes. Unfortunately he was feeling very nauseous and was only able to have a few small sips of shake. They went in the freezer for another day. We stayed about two hours and left when visiting hours were over and they finally brought him nausea medication. He's looking better but feeling sore and fighting fever from infection but overall they are taking good care of him. He wanted to thank everyone again for your prayers and well wishes. Our buddy should be out soon. Taking it one day at a time. ...JP

Thanks for the update JP!
Continuing to pray for full and quick healing for Schawee! It sounds like his spirits are good even if he isn't feeling well enough to take in the vanilla shake! May God restore him completely.

Thanks for the update JP!
I can't quit thinking about this! These things only happen to people that I don't know, or so I thought.
Get well Schawee! June and I are praying for you!

Just goes to show, not even a gun shot and a 2-story leap from a burning building can keep that coonazz down! Thanks for the updates JP and send him our love.

He's taking it one day at a time but getting stronger every day. When he's ready to come on, I'm sure he'll stop in to say hello. He has expressed several times how thankful he is to all of you for your prayers and support.

I somehow completely missed this post and have only just read it, but what a relief to see that the legendary Schawee is home and slowly recovering. I am really sorry I missed this and couldn't send our wishes from downunder at the time, but we will now put some extra effort into hoping and praying that the recovery goes well and that they catch the perpetrator. As some other posters have said, Schawee and JP are like celebrities in our house, we watch them on tv (youtube) many nights and enjoy the antics you both get up to. You are both inspirational to my beekeeping so I am glad Schawee is OK and will no doubt be entertaining us again in future.
Stay safe everyone, from Lauren and Shane
