Greetings from the Buckeye state! A brand new just looking into doing it ourselfs. We use about a gallon of honey a month for health reasons and maybe its time now that we have a little more time to do this.

Welcome to the forum.  Did you say you Have started beekeeping or are you looking into it?  

A gallon of honey a month!  You'll need more than a few hives to fill your bill.  

Climate is important in beekeeping and especially beekeeping advice.  So it would be helpful if you could mention your location in your profile.

Congratulation on starting a great hobby.
