Hi everyone I am a super new bee keeper from california. I am working with an experienced person to get started with. I will be branching out a little bit in the coming year. Thank you for the information on this site.

Welcome to the forum thorin!

Having a mentor is the best way to start beekeeping.  Make sure to read through all the boards here.  Also it's best to know where in or what part of CA you're in since CA has many different climates.  Those of us answering your questions will have a better idea of what you are facing.  Good luck with your apiary.
