Georgia Beekeepers Association fall meeting is Sept 8-9 in McDonough at the Henry county extension. Cost is 40 and includes lunch both days.
beck3086, GO to this meeting (thanks for posting it David!)!!!!!!!!!!!! I've never been to a Georgia meeting (I only started studying bees last summer) but if it is anything similar to the Alabama Beekeeper's Association annual meeting it will definitely be worth your time and trouble to attend. I went to the Alabama meeting last year a couple of months before I ever got bees and then went to the Honey Bee Symposium in Auburn last February. You'll get to talk to all kinds of folks about bees at these meetings...and they love to talk about them. There will be keynote speakers touching on subjects of interests to everybody and there will be smaller lectures on specific subjects. I'm sure there will be vendors present where you and look at and get a hands-on look at all the toys, er,...tools and equipment that you see in the magazines. There will be books that you can thumb through to see if you want to buy. Protective clothing to get a "feel for". All kinds of things. The meetings (both large and small) have had good food, too!!!

It's really worth it to go...you'll definitely be fired up when you leave!

Best wishes!
Ed
