I got a line on 1500 acres of irrigated cotton today. What do I need to know?

Put a lot of bees on them when they start to bloom. Make sure you find out when they are going to spray the fields. Collect lots of white honey out of it.

I may be late since the cotton looked to have just started blooming, how long a flow does cotton have? I also don't have near enough to cover that many acres but I can move everything I got. All but a few are right out my front door. So far I've had great neighbors and I want to keep them that way so I'm looking to move them and use the front yard for an ICU yard for my cut outs.

Don't know for a fact, but it seems it blooms long time, maybe up until they spray it late summer to kill it for harvest.

Thanks, I just made the contact today and I don't know how it will go. For all I know he may already have another beek parked on his cotton. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

David,
How did your cotton experience go? I kept bees on cotton over the summer and they did pretty well. They made a surplus of honey and wow it is good stuff. The down side is that it granulated very quickly and became rock hard.
